At Friends and Family Credit Union, you are not just a customer, you are a member/owner.
Friends and Family Credit Union provides loans, savings, checking and other financial services to anyone who lives, works, worships, or attends school in Stark County, Ohio. We also provide financial services to businesses and organizations in Stark County.
We are a full-service cooperative financial institution with over $100 million in assets and serve more than 10,000 members. Our friendly staff is fully committed to serving our members.
At Friends and Family, our members are the owners of the credit union. All earnings are returned to our members in the form of higher interest on savings, lower interest rates on loans, lower service fees, and new services.
Members also elect a volunteer Board of Directors that sets the policies for the credit union.
Join Friends and Family
To become a member, you must live, work, worship or attend school in Stark County, Ohio. Family of current credit union members are also eligible to join. A deposit of $5.00 in a savings account is the only other requirement.
Once you are a member, you have access to all of the many services Friends and Family offers.
To join, visit any Friends and Family branch. You can print a Membership Application and bring it with you. Please bring a driver’s license or other authorized I.D.

Our History
Friends and Family Credit Union was founded as The The Massillon School Employees Credit Union in 1958 to serve the financial needs of employees of the Massillon school system. In 2001, the credit union became a Community Charter to serve everyone in Stark County, Ohio, as Massillon Area Credit Union. In 2011, the credit union changed its name to Friends and Family Credit Union.
