Posted 2 months ago

News photo

The average 2023 refund was $3,167, according to the IRS, and you may look forward to a check every year. But financial professionals counsel that it’s better to adjust your withholding allowances so that you owe nothing or just a small amount when you file. That way you keep more of your money throughout the year to use or boost your savings.

A Message From Our CEO: Sleep Well With Your Savings in Friends and Family Credit Union

Posted 1 year ago

At Friends and Family Credit Union we take your money very seriously. You can sleep well knowing that your savings are protected and secure.

Friends and Family Credit Union is different from most financial institutions. First, you own it and ownership is real at your credit union. Second, through your peers on our Board of Directors, you lead it; your credit union is about Main Street not Wall Street. Your Board is all about member protection, member service, and local community, not chasing speculative returns.

Friends and Family Credit Union is closely supervised and regulated by the Ohio Department of Financial Institutions. And Friends and Family Credit Union is a strong, safe, and sound financial institution with stable capital, profitability, and liquidity.

The bottom line is that you can count on Friends and Family Credit Union today as our members have for over 60 years.

You can also count on strong deposit insurance at Friends and Family Credit Union. As a privately insured credit union, Friends and Family offers a safe place for members to build savings. Your deposits are protected by American Share Insurance and insured up to at least $250,000 per account.

American Share Insurance has powered private deposit insurance up to at least $250,000 per account since 1974 without experiencing a loss. Currently, American Share Insurance insures $2.2 billion from 1.3 million members. American Share Insurance is licensed and regulated by the Ohio Department of Insurance and the Ohio Department of Commerce, as well as supervised by credit union regulators in each state of operation. American Share Insurance is also audited annually by Deloitte & Touche, LLP and holds a history of low loss ratios and high equity levels.

If you have questions, just stop by your favorite branch, or give us a call.

Sleep well, at Friends and Family Credit Union we have your back and your money is safe.
